My clients are constantly telling me that there’s nothing quite like a great blow dry. They feel transformed when they leave the salon with a shiny, bouncy, glamorous blow out. It’s amazing how uplifting something so simple can be. How your day, your outfit and even your attitude can be so dramatically improved. But how long, you may have wondered, can that wonderful feeling last? Here at Kleoniki Hair Salon we feel that, with the appropriate amount of TLC, a good blow out should be able to last between 4 and 6 days. That is why this weeks beauty tip is dedicated to making your blow dry last. Our stylists at Kleoniki hair, put together a list of seven ways to make a blow dry last up to a week. Understand the basics of hair coloring.
1. DON’T TOUCH YOUR HAIR
After sunbathing, residues of sunscreen, salt and chlorinated water should be removed from the hair and skin. This helps reconstruct and restore the hair’s moisture balance.
2. SLEEP WITH YOUR HAIR CLIPPED UP
At night, twist your hair up and clip it loosely on top of your head. See my post on how to wake up with great hair. You’ll avoid frizz from your pillow and tangles during the night.
3. SLEEP ON SILK PILLOW CASES
Yes pillows, switching to a silk pillowcase really does make a big difference. I know it’s an old wives tale but it really works. Other alternative is to tie a scarf around your pillow. This is also a fantastic option for when you’re travelling.
4. USE A SHOWER CAP AND TAKE SHORTER SHOWERS
Sexy, I know. But your hair needs to be protected. Take shorter showers, turn down the temperature a little. You want to avoid too much steam which will create frizz in your hair.
5. SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
Experience the intensive effect of our Shampoo Relax Massage, as your hair and scalp are gently cleansed and calmed with a System Professional Shampoo specifically selected to meet your needs. A conditioning cream is also applied for instant softness.
6. ELASTIC FORCE
The ultra fine mist envelops your hair to provide strength, elasticity and a lasting silky shine.
